Biennial of the Young Artists of Europe and the Mediterranean

This work has as its starting point the prayer flags of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
For centuries, Tibetan Buddhists have hung these flags to mark places of spiritual significance.
Wherever wind meets prayer, the flags carry their blessings for the benefit of all beings.

Here the Bonsai is rescued like Moses in a basket following the waterways; prayers travel by following the wind.
There is also a play with scale: the large becomes small and the small large -
" To see a world in a grain of sand,
and a heaven in a wild flower" W. Blake
